Advice

We aim to provide detailed advice on many of the issues you will need to deal with to make a successful application. The Act is a complex piece of legislation and, so far, a number of communities have tripped up and made mistakes that compromised their application and, in some cases, led to it being rejected. In this section of the site we are publishing a series of Advice Notes.

Our series of Advice Notes is listed below. Clicking on the hyperlink will take you to a web page. Alternatively, click on the pdf icon and download a pdf file for easier printing and distribution.

Currently, we have six such Notes. In future we hope to prepare more detailed Advice Notes on: -

  • landownership and mapping
  • making the case
  • planning for the future
  • Pitfalls - where the problems lie.
